Ellis & Winters is looking for a mid-level to senior associate to assist with product liability litigation and to otherwise join the firm’s litigation team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-4 years of experience with all aspects of the litigation process, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing for depositions, and briefing complex motions. Experience with product liability litigation is preferred but not mandatory. This attorney would be located in either our Greensboro or Raleigh office and would work on litigation in courts across the United States.
While a significant portion of this attorney’s time would be devoted to product liability litigation, the attorney would become a full member of Ellis & Winters’s litigation team, having the opportunity to work on a diverse array of litigation matters and build skills in case investigation, brief writing, preparing for and taking depositions, trial and appellate advocacy, and client service. The firm's ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials and be a self-starter with excellent writing skills and attention to detail.
Requirements
- 2-4+ years of litigation experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proactive mindset with a proven ability to work independently
- High level of professionalism and outstanding interpersonal skills
- Active North Carolina bar license
- Interest in and comfort working on litigation matters across the United States
