Legal Aid of North Carolina
Company Overview
Legal Aid of North Carolina is a statewide, nonprofit law firm that provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income people in order to ensure equal access to justice and to remove legal barriers to economic opportunity. Legal Aid serves its clients from 20 field offices located across the state, and 10 special projects focused on unique client populations or specialized areas of law. Paralegals work closely with our staff attorneys and pro bono volunteers to advocate for our clients, and are an integral part of our practice model.
Company History
Legal Aid of North Carolina launched in 2002 when independent civil legal aid organizations around the state joined together to create a unified, statewide organization serving low-income clients in all 100 counties in North Carolina.
