Program, Fiscal and Disclosure Law (PFD Law) – Disclosure Law Branch.

WHY PFD LAW’S DISCLOSURE LAW BRANCH: Disclosure Law offers a collegial work environment, where attorneys work on a wide variety of privacy, disclosure, and data protection law matters. Matters include (but are not limited to) the Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, data exchange agreements, contracts, records retention, eGovernment, and artificial intelligence. We offer both litigation and advisory-focused work opportunities. For litigation, Disclosure Law attorneys work with the Department of Justice in representing SSA in Federal district and appellate courts. Attorneys should have demonstrated strong analytical, research, and writing skills, as well as sound oral advocacy skills to represent SSA’s
interests. Attorneys also must have the ability to quickly form positive relationships with internal clients and external partners.
WORK LOCATIONS: MULTIPLE LOCATIONS-HEADQUARTERS – BALTIMORE, ATLANTA, BOSTON, CHICAGO, DALLAS, DENVER, KANSAS CITY, PHILADELPHIA, AND WASHINGTON, D.C.

SALARY INFORMATION: We are hiring GS-12 through GS-14 attorneys. Salary depends on experience and location. The base salary ranges from $76,463-$139,684 and individuals in many geographic locations receive additional locality pay. Please see Salaries & Wages (opm.gov) for the salary range in your location.
