Erin Patterson Law, PLLC is a boutique estate planning and trust & estate administration firm located in the Dilworth neighborhood, just outside Uptown Charlotte. We focus exclusively on comprehensive estate planning and administration for clients in North and South Carolina.
We combine sophisticated legal work with a highly client-centered approach and a collaborative, small-firm environment.
Position Overview
We are seeking an Associate Attorney (1–5 years of experience) to join our growing practice in a full-time, in-office role.
This position offers hands-on experience, direct client interaction, and a clear path for professional development. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, client-focused, motivated to grow into a trusted advisor role, and eager to develop their skills in estate planning and administration.
Professional Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar
- 1–5 years of legal experience
- Strong academic credentials with interest in trusts and estates
- Additional licensure (e.g., SC) or tax credentials (LLM, CPA) a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review estate planning documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney)
- Assist with estate and trust administration matters
- Consult directly with clients and participate in meetings
- Manage a robust caseload, deadlines, and client files
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Meet billable expectations (1,200–1,300 hours annually)
