We represent clients in divorce, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, domestic violence, adoption, and related family-law matters. The right attorney will be able to step into an active practice, exercise independent judgment, and handle matters from initial strategy through negotiation, mediation, hearing, and trial—with experienced support and collaboration when needed.

IRA retirement plan with employer match available.
Health insurance stipend.
Hybrid and flexible work options.
Meaningful responsibility for your own cases and the autonomy to develop strategy and advocate for clients.
Experienced paralegal and administrative support so attorneys can focus on practicing law.
A collegial, professional environment that values excellent legal work, sound judgment, initiative, and sustainable practice.
A genuine opportunity to grow with an established boutique firm, with a path to increased leadership and responsibility and potential future partnership, profit-sharing, and/or equity participation for the right attorney.
What You'll Do
Manage a family-law caseload and serve as a trusted advisor to clients facing significant personal and financial matters.
Develop case strategy; conduct legal research and analysis; draft pleadings, motions, and other filings; manage discovery; and prepare matters for hearing and trial.
Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, depositions, hearings, and trials.
Work collaboratively with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys to move cases efficiently and provide responsive client service.
Maintain a strong command of North Carolina family law, civil procedure, local practice, and developing legal issues.
What We're Looking For
J.D. from an accredited law school and an active North Carolina law license in good standing.
At least 4 years of family-law experience; substantial North Carolina family-law litigation experience is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated courtroom, negotiation, and dispute-resolution skills.
Strong legal writing, case-management, client-communication, and organizational skills.
The ability to exercise independent judgment, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of cases.
Professionalism, sound judgment, and a commitment to ethical and compassionate client representation.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications, Adobe Acrobat, and modern law-office technology.
Compensation, Benefits & Growth
Base salary is $110,000-$180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, with additional performance-bonus opportunities. The firm also offers an IRA with employer match, a health insurance stipend, and hybrid/flexible work options.
We are especially interested in an attorney looking for a long-term professional home and the opportunity to play a meaningful role in the continued growth of an established boutique practice. For the right attorney, this position offers a genuine path to increased leadership and responsibility as the firm grows, with the potential for future partnership, profit-sharing, and/or equity participation based on performance, contribution to the firm, and mutual fit. Attorneys who bring an established client base or develop new business will also have the opportunity to be recognized and rewarded for those contributions. Candidates with significant family-law experience, a strong litigation background, leadership potential, or an established client base are encouraged to apply.
