Duties
Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce proceedings, child custody disputes, and spousal support negotiations
Draft and review legal documents such as petitions, motions, settlement agreements, and court pleadings
Conduct legal research using tools like LexisNexis to stay current on statutory and procedural law updates
Prepare for and participate in court depositions, trials, and hearings with thorough trial preparation and litigation strategies
Advise clients on legal rights, options, and strategies related to family law matters while maintaining clear and compassionate communication
Negotiate settlements effectively to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients
Manage case files efficiently using legal case management systems and ensure compliance with procedural law requirements
Requirements
Knowledge of family law procedures, statutory regulations, and litigation practices
Strong research skills with proficiency in LexisNexis for legal research and statutory updates
Excellent legal writing skills for drafting motions, pleadings, contracts, and client correspondence
Skilled in negotiation tactics to resolve disputes amicably or prepare for trial if necessary
Ability to handle court depositions confidently while demonstrating effective legal advocacy
Familiarity with legal motion preparation, trial preparation techniques, and procedural law knowledge
Exceptional client communication skills with a focus on empathy and clarity during stressful situations
Legal administrative experience including case management, document drafting, and maintaining organized files
