Description

Boutique environmental law firm is seeking a mid/level associate attorney with at least three (3) years’ experience.  The firm is based in the Midwest but the position can be fully remote.  Competitive candidates will have experience:

-           Evaluating and advising clients on environmental risks related to real estate transactions, financing, and redevelopment including experience reviewing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments

-          Negotiating environmental insurance, and environmental aspects of purchase and sale agreements, leases, and loan documents

-          Overseeing environmental consultants on investigations and remediations

-          Working with regulatory agencies to achieve regulatory closure and other protections

-          Direct experience with sophisticated clients

Competitive candidates will have the following:

-          Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

-          Strong writing skills

-          In addition to a JD, a degree in environmental science, geology, or a related field
