Description
Virtual Office Business Immigration Attorney (Remote)
Fisher Phillips, one of the oldest and largest labor and employment law firms representing management, has an opportunity for a Business Immigration Attorney with at least three years of experience to join our Virtual Office as Counsel.
This fully remote role focuses on handling a broad range of business immigration matters for employers across industries. Working alongside experienced attorneys, paralegals, and immigration professionals, the ideal candidate will have experience with nonimmigrant visa matters, employment-based immigrant petitions, PERM labor certifications, Requests for Evidence (RFEs), and immigration compliance matters. The successful candidate will work directly with clients to provide strategic immigration guidance, manage complex case matters, and deliver exceptional client service throughout the immigration process.
Typical day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and managing nonimmigrant visa petitions (including H-1B, L-1, E, TN, and O classifications), handling employment-based immigrant matters (including EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, PERM, and I-140 petitions), responding to government requests and inquiries, and counseling employers on immigration compliance, including I-9 audits. The position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a nationally recognized immigration team while helping clients navigate complex and evolving immigration laws and regulations.
This role will focus on efficient, high-quality legal work with a more flexible billable hours target and work/life balance, and no business development pressure or sourcing your own work, allowing you to concentrate on providing exceptional legal services without the burden of non-billable hour demands. Our firm is committed to creating an empowering and inclusive workplace where your talents can thrive.
The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines and competing priorities. Candidates must be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote environment and demonstrate a commitment to personal growth, innovation, and high-quality client service. Additional qualifications include a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, active bar membership in good standing, and a minimum of three years of business immigration experience. Experience handling a full spectrum of employment-based immigration matters and immigration compliance issues is strongly preferred.
At Fisher Phillips, we value energetic team members who embrace innovation and technology in the practice of law. We are seeking someone with a growth mindset who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is passionate about helping employers and employees navigate the complexities of U.S. immigration law.
Fisher Phillips offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, generous paid time off, paid parental leave, a 401(k) plan with carve-out election and profit-sharing, life insurance, long-term disability coverage, an employee assistance program, and optional benefits such as critical care, accident, and hospital indemnity insurance, student loan refinancing, dependent life insurance, and pet insurance.
The annual salary range for this position is $135,000 – $170,000, with actual base pay determined by factors such as the selected billable hours target, experience, skills, and qualifications.
If you meet the qualifications and are interested in joining a dynamic and supportive legal environment, we encourage you to apply. Join us at Fisher Phillips and be a part of a forward-thinking legal practice that values your expertise and supports your professional journey.
